Utilizing specialized software such as AutoCAD, SmartPlant P&ID, and COMOS P&ID, we assist clients in creating and modifying PFD and PID drawings. With process simulation software like Aspen Plus, Aspen EDR, and FRI, we help clients perform material and energy balances, design and calculate equipment, and conduct pipeline hydraulic calculations. Additionally, we support clients in compiling equipment lists, piping lists, and instrument data sheets.

Smart Data Conversion Project for a Propylene Plant

During the operation of a manufacturing plant, modifications and maintenance are ongoing, and annual overhauls necessitate continuous updates and additions to P&ID drawings. Furthermore, new units are constantly being added, requiring timely updates to the P&ID system to ensure alignment with field data. After a year of data consolidation, in 2010, the client requested updates and additions to nearly 2,000 drawings across six plants, along with improvements to process equipment and piping attributes. After five months of intensive work, we delivered a comprehensive set of deliverables including equipment data sheets, piping lists, online instrument lists, valve lists, and attribute change lists. The project was completed on time and delivered to the client. Additionally, we assigned one to two process engineers to provide on-site maintenance and periodically conduct P&ID data conversion and updates based on workload.

Smart Data Conversion Project in Saudi Arabia

The client sought to convert over 1,000 drawings for olefins and polyethylene plants, along with enhancements to equipment parameters and piping attributes. After more than a year of effort, we delivered a comprehensive set of deliverables including a P&ID system backup, equipment lists, piping lists, and successfully published all P&ID drawings to the SPF system, linking them to corresponding equipment, piping, and instrument documents. The project was completed on time and delivered to the client.

Process Design and Calculation for Heat Exchangers
A reboiler experienced severe fouling and difficulties in cleaning the shell side. Without altering the reboiler shell inner diameter or pipe specifications, the pipe pitch was increased from 32mm to 36mm. Aspen EDR software was used to perform process calculations for the original reboiler and the modified design. The modified design met the process requirements.

Condenser Retrofit of a Vacuum Distillation Column

A vacuum distillation column in a certain unit was unable to produce products meeting specifications. Process simulation calculations using Aspen EDR revealed that the primary reason for the substandard top product was insufficient cooling water flow rate in the condenser tube bundle, which compromised the condensation process. To address this issue, the condenser was retrofitted from an 8-tube to a 4-tube configuration, and the plain tubes were replaced with high-efficiency heat transfer tubes. Post-retrofit, the operation stabilized, and the top product purity met the required standards.
